Clean Up Summer Home Improvement Projects with Ease |
|
(ARA) - Nearly six out of ten Americans will tackle home improvement projects this year, and the chances are good your husband or father will be one of them.
Dad may not need any new tools, but he can always use another box to store them in.
“It seems like I’m always looking for a particular hammer or screwdriver because the last time I used it, I was in a hurry to get everything put away and cleaned up, and I misplaced it,” says Jamie Anderson, 31, of Minnetonka, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis.
Anderson won’t have that problem the next time he tackles a home improvement project. His wife just bought him a Eureka Toolbox Vac, a product that packs the toolbox and vacuum in one.
“The Toolbox Vac is designed with the do-it-yourselfer in mind,” says Fred Geyer, senior vice president of marketing for Eureka. “In essence, it is an on-the-go workshop that houses everything you need to complete a job from start to finish, no matter where you set up shop.”
The toolbox comes with a spacious two-tiered tool tray, utility cord, and 110-volt auxiliary power outlet. It also has a six-amp motor to power the vacuum and a built-in power blower, plus a five-foot vacuum hose, crevice wand and upholstery brush that tuck neatly into the lid. A washable cloth vacuum bag is also included.
Anderson plans to use it when he puts up a shelf in his son Justin’s room. “It’ll be nice not to have to stop everything and go find the vacuum cleaner when it’s time to clean up the dust from the holes I make in the dry wall. It’s not something I would have thought to go out and buy myself, but I’m glad I have it now.”
Randy Kirk, 39, a project manager for a general contractor in Minneapolis says he expects to find Toolbox Vacs on job sites in the near future. “Because it’s so compact, this toolbox is perfect for small jobs.”
Kirk says the Toolbox Vac will also have a lot of practical uses around the house. “If all I had was an upright, this would be great for vacuuming stairs,” said Kirk. “You don’t have to worry about wheels.”
Kirk says he’d appreciate it if someone bought him a Toolbox Vac. “My wife would appreciate it too. I’d have no excuse for not cleaning up after myself after finishing her ‘honey do’ list.”
The Eureka Toolbox Vac retails for approximately $69.99. For store locations and more information, consumers can call Eureka’s toll-free customer service line at (877) 270-9289.
